Vice Admiral Virgilio Q. Marcelo (ret.)
After serving as the Commandant of the Philippine Marines and Commandant of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA), he served as the Flag Officer in Command of the Philippine Navy. Billy retired in 1994 and assumed several positions in the public and private sector – such as Undersecretary for Field Operations of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Director of National Power Corporation, Vice President for Community Relations of San Roque Power Corporation. He has a Master’s degree in Strategy and Policy from the US Naval War College.
Gen. Romeo O. Odi (ret.)
Romy retired in 1995 from the Philippine National Police with the rank of Deputy Director General and six Distinguished Service Stars. From there he held several civilian positions, such as Director of National Power Corporation, Director of United Coconut Planters Bank, President of Integrated Geotechnical Services, and President of Trakland Inc. He earned his MBA degree from Ateneo de Manila in 1982.
Rei A. Lacson
Rei retired in 2002 from Ayala Corporation (AC), where he worked for 27 years. Starting as a Corporate Planning Officer, he rose steadily through the ranks and assigned as Chief Financial Officer in AC's technology subsidiaries such as Gold-Zack Philippines Inc. and Integrated Microelectronics Inc. His last postings were as President and Director of MiTech and of Electronics Assemblies Inc (EAI). His expertise in financial engineering and turnaround came to the fore at EAI, which he led into profitability and six-fold increase in revenues.
Wilfredo M. Trinidad
Atty. Trinidad worked in government (Department of Transportation and Communications) for 16 years, the last position being Undersecretary of Air, Marine and Rail. He has been intimately involved with the problems and issues of PPP contracts from the public sector side (such as those for MRT-3 and NAIA3), and most recently as legal consultant on the side of private sector proponents.
Fortunato O. Sanchez Jr.
Engineer Jun Sanchez is the hard-hat guy who prefers to run his construction outfit, away from the glare, in Cebu City. He finished his BS Civil Engineering (magna cum laude) from the University of San Carlos and his MSCE from Stanford University. He is also active in the infrastructure affairs of the Metro Cebu Development Coordinating Board. He is a member of the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers, American Society of Civil Engineers, and International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering.
Francis C. Carlos
One of those who cannot hang up his professional gloves in so far as lending his expertise, Francis learned his logistics and shipping cred via the school of hard knocks, in San Miguel Corporation, where he was responsible for facilities management and transportation. He subsequently added the academic credentials by attending post-graduate courses in logistics, port operations, and shipping management. He served as COO of the Archipelago Group of Companies from 2002 to 2009, which is engaged in ship management, ferries, dry-docking, and maritime education.
Philip G. Apostol
The Filipino who made good in the esoteric world of financial engineering in an international setting before coming back to transform public transport in his country, which is his current fashion aside from the arts and culture of Firenze. Philip has held leadership positions with ING Bank NV in the Philippines, Price Waterhouse Coopers and Deloitte in Slovenia, Columbia Consulting and Drexel Burnham Lambert in New York.
